This patch addresses important music theory topics in Mando ModeExplorer Release 1.0.2 and earlier, specifically:
  • 'Bb' tonic selection behavior.
  • 'A' string invisible scale markers.
  • Pentatonic scale analysis.
  • Chord Calculator provides accurate Pentatonic scale suggestions when a web connection is available.
  • New Feature: Scale tonics are represented as blue markers.
To install, download MandoModeExplorerCumulativeUpdate.zip to your hard drive, unzip the file, and run setup.exe. Follow the directions as given by the MandoModeExplorerCumulativeUpdate installation wizard. File size: 729 KB.

Who should install this update? If your Mando ModeExplorer CD has a serial number between 050301_0000 and 050614_0000 then you can benefit from this update. To locate the serial number, pop the CD in the CD drive and browse for the name of the CD - The name is the serial number. You may be asked to uninstall the previous MandoModeExplorerCumulativeUpdate before upgrading. This update is not designed for other versions of the Mando ModeExplorer.


Mando ModeExplorer Engine Update - June 15, 2005

Provides fixes and improvements to the Engine that powers the ModeExplorer locally. Repairs local Pentatonic scale issues.

Note: This update is not included in the cumulative update, and should be applied in addition to the cumulative update.

To install, download MandoModeExplorerEngineUpdate.zip to your hard drive, unzip the file, and run setup.exe. Follow the directions as given by the MandoModeExplorerEngineUpdate installation wizard. File size: 188 KB.
